TRANSLATION PROCESS

What happens to your text once you entrust us with the task of translating it? The translation process can be briefly described through the following steps which we strictly adhere to in all projects:

1.  A quote for your translation order is drawn up, including the exact deadline, price and payment due date as well as any specific features of the order (e.g. the customer may point out certain aspects of the text which require our particular attention or express a wish that specific terms should be used etc.).

2.  Translation to the target language, whereby the process is supported by means of various translation tools (Trados, Wordfast etc.), dictionaries, online terminology databases, glossaries etc. Since languages develop at a very quick pace, our work often extends beyond mere translation and enters the area of terminological research, which is something we are well-versed in.

3.  Review of the translation alongside the original text, paying close attention to correct terminology and grammar.

4.  If necessary or ordered by the customer, proofreading by a target language native speaker.

5.  Review of the final translation to make sure the text is fluid, clear and appropriate with regard to its purpose.

6.  Final grammar check.

7.  Making sure the translated text matches the original as much as possible in terms of its form.
